Data Access Component

The Data Access Component is an add-in product that offers users additional ways to customize reports.  Although FUND E-Z contains very specialized and customizable reports, DAC offers yet another way to create unlimited combinations of rows and columns from any FUND E-Z table.

Overview of the Data Access Component

  • DAC utilizes Microsoft Access as if it was an additional FUND E-Z module.
  • FUND E-Z launches Access when you begin, and closes it when you’re finished.
  • DAC steps you through a set of easy-to-use wizard screens to select data and format reports.
  • Creating reports with DAC always involves the same steps, only the source data fields are different.

When you launch DAC, MS Access wakes up and a 3-step wizard takes you through the build process.  Simply follow the prompts to select the:

  1. Columns you want to see on the report.
  2. Filters (query) you want to impose on the report data.
  3. Sort order and totaling of the report.

The printable report is then previewed on the screen.  When you quit DAC you'll be transported back to FUND E-Z, automatically.
